Description
Long time no art, I'm reallyreally sorry... as usual. Ah, you've heard it all before from me. School, deadlines, etc. Plus I've had the extra stress of UCAS, so all that laughing at my classmates last year when they were complaining about applying to universities has now come back and bit me on the metaphorical arse. Ouch.Sooo, this guy is from a story I started writing ages ago, which I'm still quite fond of. He is supposed to look quite bummed out, as I guess you would if you'd just had to kill your own brother. Or something dramatic like that.
I wanted to do this totally reference-less, and as a reult his anatomy is a bit off, especially in the torso department. whoops. but I just don't have the time to try and fix it... (translation: I am lazy
.Photoshop CS, Wacom tablet. Started it a good few months ago I think, I'm so slow! I'll attach the progress steps at the bottom; you can see my process quite clearly; clumsy colour blocking, layer of tonal refining, finally layering up colour. I think it's a bit of a clumsy method?
Argh long description, enjoy!

I think if you give more definition to the edges could improve the overall image… but its just my personal taste.

The crows really well done.. wonder if you went for this overall textured look, it suits the mood, though i would have like some areas to be in focus.. to give a point of focus to the image, instead of everything being a bit unsharp,
great job...
